valentine's day

i'm a bit behind on posting things! but i'll go back a couple weeks to valentine's day. i was really into it this year. not in the sense that i was expecting any fancy present or anything, but i just loved the idea of celebrating "love". in the past, i kind of brushed off this holiday... i thought it was kind of a waste of money and time. but i guess now with kids and school valentine's parties... i'm really into it. i was making valenting crafts in my spare time, got excited about what kind of valentine we would make for her classmates and teachers, and i would even check out all the kitchy valentine decor at whatever store i would be shopping at. :)

here are some shots from addison's valentine's party at school. i called a babysitter for ellie and volunteered. the kids did two different crafts and one mom, who is French brought in freshly made crepes (we had all different kinds of toppings) for snack. it was a lot of fun and very yummy!


addison's class is a small size of 12. (one was missing). the other kindergarten class has 11. it's small, but i like it. and the kids are great. the boy sitting next to addison in the back has recently become a good friend of hers. she says they play "monsters" and "capture the aliens" together at recess. hehe.



everyone is digging through all their cards and treats :)






addison made a valentines book for the family. there was a page for each of us. here is one for daddy. very sweet.

jimmy was actually out of town during valetine's. but he did send this most AWESOME bouquet!! he knows how much i love malteses (especially one's named Henry). i was laughing when this showed up on our doorstep! it was absolutely perfect... my very own flower dog!
