"business in the front, party in the back"... as the old saying goes. whew, that's an ugly hairstyle!
both grandma's have been urging me to take little ellie to the hair salon and trim that hair. just like addison, ellie's hair has been growing in slow. and as her mommy, i've been reluctant to cut it. i'm savoring every little strand that has grown in... regardless if she was sporting a funny looking hairdo. but i realized the grandmas were right. we need to trim it. it may look fuller if we do. and who knows, maybe it'll grow faster?
so today, we went to kiddie hair place that addison goes to. i scheduled a trim for addison too. i had addison go first so ellie can watch and see how fun it was. then it was ellie's turn.
"i'm not too sure about this. i kinda like my mullet."
ellie looking slightly terrified. "lady, you sure you know what you're doing??"
she seems to be more interested in what she's sitting in. love the kiddie hair places! distraction, distraction, distraction. there's Toy Story playing in front of her too.

grabbed some dinner afterwards. ellie could not let go of the balloons the hair place gave her.
she is even eating while holding the balloons.

i should have had them trim her hair more. it doesn't look much different.
and to top off the celebratory first haircut, we took a ride on the carousel! good times!!
