halloween and more!

what a busy, but super fun week we've had here! we had our close friends, the yun's come visit us for 6 days. we try and see each other at least once a year. we were all invited to another friend's wedding here in michigan so they made a family trip out of it. addison had been especially anticipating this visit. it has been in the plans for months and she just couldn't wait until the day she could see her friend, bella. addison and bella, who is also the same age, became fast friends even at the early ages of 5 months (addie) and 9 months (bella) at their first meeting. it was so great to have such close friends visiting. the kids played great. addison and bella pretty much went off and did their own thing ALL day. my friend, myra also came and stayed with us for the weekend for the wedding. the dad's got a break on thursday and had a night out and then the ladies got a break on friday night. and on saturday night, the grown-ups went to the wedding in ann arbor and the kids stayed home with our nanny. it was me and jimmy's first overnight trip without the kids! so that was fun and relaxing for us.

and to add to all the excitement, it was halloween week! addison got to wear her costume several times during the week at various activities and at school. first she got to wear it at dance class on tuesday.

Then she had a piano recital on thursday and the kids were allowed to wear their costumes for that.

and then here's a pic of the kids that our nanny took while we were gone...

bella and addie.. i see future pom pon girls? (like their moms) haha.

And then there was halloween day... we also had our other close friends come over with their son. the trick-or-treating part was not very successful. we went out too early and the little ones were uncomfortable in their costumes. so we pretty much stayed home and just passed out candy. but the kids sure do look darn cute!

addie and her buddy, bella

sweet maddie....bella's little sister. she is 3 months older than ellie. spitting image of her daddy. hehe

papa chewbacca and little chewbacca. best duo costume!! steve couldn't put the mask on to his costume. all the kids were scared. to be honest, i was a little scared too! hehe

jin dressed as who knows what??? hahaha

and they're off. :)

great week! the wedding was a blast.... beautiful ceremony, danced up a storm at the reception, lots of laughter and ripping on each other. it was so fun to see all our old friends that we haven't seen in a while. and almost all of the group are alumni of U of M so they all had a great time on campus again! we ended the yun's last night with a grown-up double date-night dinner.... delicious food, fantastic wine. so sad to see them go. goodbye, yun's! until next time!!!
