santa fe

i recently went on a girls weekend getaway to santa fe, new mexico for my friend's bachelorette/bridal shower. santa fe may not be your typical bachelorette party destination, but it was just my speed. after two kids, my hard partying days are nothing but a distant memory. we dined on yummy southwestern cuisine, enjoyed margaritas and other tastey libations, had an afternoon at Ten Thousand Waves spa, experienced a little bit of the nightlife (if you could even call it that! the place seems more for the older crowd from what we could see... a lot of retirees. it can't be a good sign when you're at a club and in walks an old couple with a cane!), and even sang tunes back at our condo on the magic mic that one of the girls brought. see, this weekend was a bit different from our usual girls-weekend jaunts... but the great company and lots and lots of laughter and joking around was all the same. it was a blast!
